Conductive
Garments
These patented conductive
mesh garments made by Prizm Medical, Inc.
are made of woven silver nylon with
Dacron fibers. The woven silver fibers
actually conduct the current throughout
the whole garment, providing stimulation
over a larger area. Dacron, a hollow
fiber, maintains warmth and moisture,
which is helpful when trying to increase
circulation. They can be used with TENS
or muscle stim, but were specifically
designed for use with high-volt pulsed
galvanic stimulators. These garments are
available as gloves, socks, and sleeves
in a variety of sizes to fit any
individual. The material is also sewn
into the backing of a lumbar -sacral
belt, for stimulating the large back
muscles, thereby eliminating the need for
constant electrode replacement.
Conditions such as carpal tunnel
syndrome, diabetic foot neuropathy,
arthritis, poor circulation, tennis
elbow, tendonitis, etc., may find greater
relief from using these garments. They
are FDA approved and Medicare
reimbursable. For best results, according
to the manufacturer, moisten the garment
with conductive spray or water before
using to achieve better stimulation. Hand
washable. The glove, sock, and sleeve
garments come 1 each per package, and are
not sold in pairs.
